TORONTO, ON (November 6, 2017) – With the holidays just around the corner, Cadillac Fairview (CF) is continuing its tradition of helping Canadians from coast-to-coast enjoy the magic of the season. Beginning this month, CF shopping centres will welcome back beloved holiday experiences while introducing exciting new service offerings. From iconic oversized décor and annual Santa visits to an expanded national tree lighting experience and an all-new white glove gift wrapping concept, CF is devoted to getting Canadians into the holiday spirit.

Iconic Décor and Expanded Tree Lighting Ceremonies
From floor to ceiling and entrance to entrance, guests will be immersed in spectacular sights of the season through CF’s iconic holiday décor program. Thirteen properties including five new shopping centres will showcase impressive displays of holiday sculptures. These showstopper pieces range from opulent oversized floor pieces including walk-thru ornaments and LED woodland creatures such as reindeer and moose, to stunning customized suspended embellishments.
Christmas trees ranging from 24- to 100-foot-tall will be installed in six shopping centres. Building on the success of last year’s unforgettable tree lighting unveiling event at CF Toronto Eaton Centre to debut the tallest tree in the country, CF will light up the nation with six regional tree lighting ceremonies at: CF Toronto Eaton Centre, CF Lime Ridge and CF Carrefour Laval on November 16, CF Shops at Don Mills on November 17, CF Chinook Centre on November 21 and CF Pacific Centre on November 22. Each event will be accompanied by a captivating musical performance to kickstart the local holiday celebration, including special appearances by Choir! Choir! Choir! at select CF properties. Musical choirs will also perform weekly in front of the Christmas tree delighting guests with the beautiful sounds of the season, and guests are invited to join in and take part in the festivities across the country.
Introducing CF Gift Wrap Valet
Shoppers who have found the perfect gift can visit the new CF Gift Wrap Valet, a style-driven pop-up concept, available at 13 properties during the month of December. Guests who bring their gifts to be wrapped will be greeted by stylish hosts to help them choose from a variety of contemporary wrapping papers and gift tags. This special white glove valet service offers complimentary seating, snacks and beverages as customers relax and wait for their parcel to be elegantly wrapped. Pricing ranges in cost depending on package size. A portion of the proceeds will benefit WE, CF’s national partner in supporting youth empowerment. In addition, Cadillac Fairview will be donating $2 for every CF SHOP! card purchased during the holiday season, through in-kind support to WE.
Experience the Magic Gift Workshop
The Magic Gift Workshop, a charming and interactive complimentary gift wrapping experience courtesy of the Tufties, six fuzzy, gift-loving animated creatures developed by CF, returns to five properties including CF Lime Ridge, CF Fairview Mall, CF Carrefour Laval, CF Promenades St-Bruno and CF Market Mall starting November 18. Guests can pre-register for the Magic Gift Workshop online or in-property to experience traditional gift wrapping transformed into a moment of pure magic.
Visits with Santa
Throughout the season, children and families can drop by CF properties to see the man of the season, Santa! Beginning on November 1, guests can pre-book their Santa visit online. Santa officially arrives at 17 CF shopping centres on November 18 with three properties debuting a new enchanted forest themed Santa set. Guests can learn about The Tufties during a special story time reading and receive a Tuftie plush keepsake following their visit. CF Sherway Gardens and CF Toronto Eaton Centre will offer a unique Sensitive Santa experience in partnership with Autism Speaks, available by appointment. Santa will be available until December 24 before heading to the North Pole.
All-New Fireside Lounge at CF Shops at Don Mills
To help guests get into the cozy spirit of the holidays CF Shops at Don Mills is introducing a new feature at the open-air shopping centre this season. From December 1 – 23, CF Shops at Don Mills will feature a festive outdoor fireside lounge adjacent to Town Square. The space will be fully licensed and equipped with four fire pits where guests can warm up and relax fireside on Muskoka chairs and benches as they enjoy food and holiday cheer from participating vendors.
