Toronto, ON – September 29, 2016 – Cadillac Fairview is pleased to announce the Company has been recognized by The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) with two prestigious 2016 National Awards, one for managing CF Toronto Eaton Centre and one for the Platinum BOMA-Best certified Toronto-Dominion Centre.

CF Toronto Eaton Centre and Toronto-Dominion Centre were the proud recipients of the National TOBY award for Outstanding Building of the Year, awarded for the highest quality in building standards, community impact, tenant relations, energy conservation, environmental, regulatory and sustainability standards, and for the training of building personnel.

“We are proud to be recognized by BOMA for Outstanding Building of the Year,” commented Sheila Jennings, General Manager, CF Toronto Eaton Centre. “CF Toronto Eaton Centre is a landmark building and major tourist destination in Canada and this award demonstrates how our programs help to drive positive experiences for our clients and nearly 50 million guests who visit the centre each year.”

“Commercial property management is focused on creating value for our clients,” stated David Hoffman, General Manager, Toronto-Dominion Centre. “This award highlights the tremendous effort put forth by our team to support a thriving business complex and we could not be more thrilled with this recognition by industry experts.”

A major component of CF’s Corporate Responsibility strategy is Green at Work®, the Company’s national environmental sustainability program, which integrates sustainability into building operations and maintenance. Under Green at Work, CF properties are required to take action on sustainability planning and implementing projects to improve performance in five areas of environmental impact: energy, waste management, environmental protection, responsible procurement and stakeholder collaboration. More information on Green at Work can be found in the Company’s 2015 Sustainability Report.

Winners of the 2016 BOMA Canada National Awards may be eligible to compete in the BOMA International TOBY Awards presented at the BOMA International Conference and Expo June 29, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry's highest recognition honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations in specific categories of building size or type. To win an International TOBY Award, a property first must win both local and regional competitions. Judging is based on community impact, tenant/employee relations programs, energy management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of expert industry professionals also conducted comprehensive building inspections.
