As the ultimate Holiday meeting place CF is once again hosting incredible Tree Lighting events and Santa Experiences at several of its malls, larger-than-life décor to provide spectacular backdrops for lasting memories with loved ones, and CF’s Gift Wrap Valet and other services to make holiday shopping a seamless experience.

National Tree Lighting Events
Building on an incredibly popular tradition, CF is once again lighting up the country and uniting Canadians with its highly anticipated, annual tree lighting experiences. This year, five CF shopping centres will host this signature holiday event, including CF Toronto Eaton Centre and CF Carrefour Laval on November 15 and CF Chinook Centre, CF Lime Ridge and CF Markville on November 16. This year’s celebration will feature an interactive light and music experience powered by the human energy of attendees and led by a local celebrity host who will help to light the show-stopping Christmas trees. The lighting of Canada’s Tallest Tree standing 108-feet at CF Toronto Eaton Centre will be presented by Starbucks Canada as they join in to share the magic of the holidays. The excitement of the Tree Lighting events will continue through the season with weekly guest DJ performances at select CF properties.
Visits with Santa
The holidays wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see Santa, who will arrive at 17 CF shopping centres across Canada beginning November 17. This is a beloved tradition where children can share their holiday wishes with Santa and take a memorable photo. To take some stress out of the holidays, every Santa experience at CF can be booked in advance starting November 1 until December 24.
CF Sherway Gardens and CF Toronto Eaton Centre will offer an interactive Santa Experience and a one-of-a-kind Sensitive Santa Experience designed specifically for individuals with autism and their family members. The latter experience features lighter crowds with donation proceeds benefitting Eva’s Initiative and Autism Speaks.
Even More Iconic Décor
This year, CF will amplify its unforgettable décor offering across all CF shopping centres with impressive floor-to-ceiling holiday displays. The interior will be adorned with opulent and oversized floor pieces, from walk-through ornaments and illuminated woodland creatures, such as 40-feet-tall reindeer and moose, to spectacularly suspended embellishments that create the perfect holiday landscape and picture perfect backdrop.
CF Gift Wrap Valet Expanded Nationally
The CF Gift Wrap Valet, a style-driven pop-up concept, will be available only at CF shopping centres (excluding CF Shops at Don Mills) beginning December 1. The convenient service provides elegant and professional gift wrapping and an exclusive lounge for customers waiting for their packages to be wrapped. Pricing varies based on the packaging size with a portion of the proceeds to benefit WE, CF’s national partner in supporting youth empowerment. One hundred per cent of the proceeds from all $2 gift tags will support WE’s initiatives in Canada.
Innovative Digital Service Offerings
To help make the shopping journey as efficient as possible, CF offers CF SHOP! Text, a digital text concierge service that connects consumers with a live guest services representative to answer their shopping-related questions. In addition, as part of CF’s Holiday experience, CF is inviting shoppers to participate in testing a number of new digital innovation concepts that provide shoppers with the option of reserving a paid parking spot in advance at select CF shopping centres and managing their Santa booking and CF Gift Wrap Valet experience through Hadley live receipt.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is also provided in CF shopping centres to assist guests and enhance the shopping experience. Select properties offer mobile charging, coat check as well as electric vehicle charging stations and valet parking services.
