Toronto, ON – October 18, 2016 – Cadillac Fairview (CF) is pleased to announce the next phase of its partnership with WE, which looks to celebrate, engage and inspire young people to think big and explore ways of giving back to their community in a meaningful way. Together, CF and WE, a movement that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world, are hosting five community events to honour young change-makers in select WE Day markets across Canada., As part of their collective efforts to promote youth empowerment CF will also introduce the WE Schools program in 20 markets where CF operates.

WE Evening of Inspiration Events
CF is hosting five exclusive WE Evening of Inspiration events for 200 people in advance of the signature WE Day events taking place in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa and Winnipeg. The unique in-property experiences celebrate outstanding students and educators who have earned their ticket to WE Day by facilitating change in their community while inspiring others to get involved.  The first event takes place on Wednesday, October 18 at CF Sherway Gardens, Centre Court from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The event will include a keynote address from Craig Kielburger, co-founder of WE along with special performances and appearances from WE Day guests. Additional CF properties hosting these events include: CF Chinook Centre on October 25, CF Pacific Centre on November 2, CF Rideau Centre on November 8, and in Montreal at a CF property next spring.

WE School Partnerships with CF Properties

Beginning this fall, CF and WE will introduce a WE School program and team up 20 CF retail properties with students from local schools for compelling educational exhibits that will be showcased in property locations next spring. In addition, CF will be providing 20 scholarships, sending one student from each of CF’s partner schools to WE’s Take Action Camp at the end of the school year.
