TORONTO, ON (October 17, 2025) – Cadillac Fairview (CF) today announced its 2025 results in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) assessment. For the sixth time overall and fifth consecutive year, CF ranked first in its peer group (Northern America – Diversified – Office/Retail – Non-listed) and was named Regional Sector Leader for the Americas Diversified Office/Retail in two separate categories: Overall and Non-listed. This recognition places CF among the top performers in our sector across the Americas, acknowledging excellence in both corporate and asset-level performance. In addition, CF has received its 10th "Green Star" ranking, recognizing its comprehensive approach to ESG management.

“Our fifth consecutive top ranking in the GRESB assessment is a direct reflection of our team's commitment to our ESG strategy," said Sal Iacono, President and CEO, Cadillac Fairview. “This milestone shows the progress we're making, from improving energy efficiency to building stronger community partnerships. Our success in GRESB enhances our credibility, demonstrating that prioritizing sustainability and responsible management can contribute to long-term value for our stakeholders."

GRESB is a leading global benchmark that provides standardized, validated ESG data to capital markets. It assesses a company’s performance across a range of indicators, including energy and water consumption, GHG emissions, and stakeholder engagement.

This year's GRESB results highlight significant strides in CF’s ESG performance, driven by its robust data coverage and a holistic strategy that spans all three pillars, as detailed in its 2025 ESG Report, this will open in a new tab:

  • Environmental: CF delivered against its targets for reducing emissions, energy and water consumption and continued to divert a large amount of waste from landfills, and completed a comprehensive physical climate risk assessment for all of its properties.

  • Social: The company continued to strengthen its "OneCF" culture, fostering an inclusive workplace and supporting local communities through strategic philanthropy and employee volunteering.

  • Governance: CF enhanced its risk management practices and validated its material ESG priorities, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and accountability.

“GRESB Sector Leaders exemplify success in action. They set the pace for the industry, translating strong governance and operational excellence into real-world performance and long-term value,” said Sebastien Roussotte, CEO of GRESB.
